Could it possibly be that her daughter liked the gift so much that she thought yours would as well? I have had many instances where my kids got something they loved and so when I purchased a gift for a kid of the same age, I got the same thing. And perhaps she just forgot that it was you that got her the present.

Next time get her kid a better gift that you know your child will appreciate in two years. She probably didn't remember and just went into their toy stash to regift.

I have no problems with regifts, esp if it is something my kids might like. But, we did not send our nieces and nephews anything this year -- we were super busy and overwhelmed. At least she thought of you and sent something she probably thought you would like.
