Sure, guns everywhere. Bars full of armed drunk young men and couples having a domestic in a darkened, noisy restaurant. How many days do you think would go by before 150 people died due to raging "open carriers"?

Just stay home with your weapons cache and your paranoia

You're very gullible and easily swayed towards your biases. I'm not a trump fan, but that is a photoshop.

I spent much of last summer in Paris and in the area of Lyon. Trump's assertion that "armed population" could deter this distorts the "facts on the ground" in France.

Unlike the US, where we have a civilian police force on our streets only ( and I like it that way frankly), in France atleast what I witnessed all summer is that the military is out in force at all public monuments ( like Eiffel Tower) all train stations, many parks. Similar to what you see only on White House lawn : armed in flak jackets hands carrying loaded machine guns and walking patrol.

At Eiffel tower we even saw them run into the bushes after someone ( with machine gun drawn.

Literally, the miltary were everywhere you looked and I don't see how an armed civilian could do " better".

It will be nice when Hillary is president. She was willing to lead us into the Iraq war (hell, her stand cost her the primary in 2008) and she will not hesitate to do the same in face of terror again.

We lose more people to gun violence and accidents than they do to terrorism.

The perpetrators were armed with Kalashnikovs (AK-47), as were those responsible for the Charlie Hebdo massacre. These weapons are readily-available on the black market for about $1200. Should all Parisians be armed with automatic weapons as they go about their daily affairs? Go back to living your delusional Charles Bronson fantasy and stop exploiting a tragedy to overcome your apparent impotency.

Do you seriously want people to carry guns to rock concerts? Have you ever been to a rock concert?

That would make the biker shoot-out in the Texas diner seem like kindergarten.

I heard former Homeland Secretary Tom Ridge on CNN this morning. A former governor of Pennsylvania, he said very solid things. He strikes me as a good American who is beyond partisanship at this point.

Schadenfreude. They're giddy that they have the opportunity to say "we told you so" even though no one has definitively linked the tragedy to ISIS or Syrian or Iraqi refugees/migrants.

This is how I feel any time a shooting occurs in the US.

+1000000

Everyone is up in arms and then it's just on to the next one.

Imagine how many more people might have been executed if a yahoo like you opened fire during a siege? Your macho bravado is hormone fueled and isn't helpful.

"Existential threat" is just the latest fad term to enter the FOX News Bogeyman Buzzword Bingo - and conservatives everywhere are now using it in reference to Islam, thinking it will somehow make them sound more intelligent or that it will somehow legitimize their belief that all Muslims and people of the Middle East are a threat to our very existence.

That's the new left line. It completely ignores that ISIS stated it planned to pretend to be Syrian refugees....

Since when did we take the words of a few and use it to condemn all? That's crazy talk. Or in other words Republican speak/thought process.

Any excuse to demonize anyone who isn't white and Christian.

^ The "Camus/Sartre" joke was clearly too much for the posters without a sense of humor.
