They are not bad neighbors, quiet and keep to themselves but I feel so isolated. When we bought our first house there I was so excited to be part of a community and was looking forward to becoming close to my neighbors. After 3 years it's come to the point where I don't even feel like I live in America anymore. There's nothing wrong with it but if you are looking for being a part of something where you live then do not live here. I regret buying a house here and am looking to move next year. I will be looking for a diverse neighborhood with neighbors who look out for each other.
try and work with all Indians every day. I want to shoot myself.

I don't live in LV or in LC for that matter, but South Asians are inescapable anywhere in Northern Virginia. They generally earn good incomes and value spacious but affordable homes. Even in my town of Great Falls, they make up about 30-40% of the classrooms.
No place to run to except west of the mountains!

They usually keep to themselves and aren't usually as involved the pta but many buck the trend. They are also very smart and boost test scores.
If Indians and other Asians are as smart as they are always advertising, then why are their countries of origin so dysfunctional?
Smart but selfish and petty. If you find my comment offensive, go to Lotte supermarket and watch them toss, touch, switch fruits in boxes, etc. just to pick out the best fruit/vegetable in the produce section.

You'd have to be nuts to send a white kid to that school.
I live in the city and dc's attend DCPS. Fascinating to see this sentiment that is seen towards schools with majority AA children in the city being played out towards Indian children in the suburbs.
Wow. My (Caucasian) kids went there and had a great experience. Such a racist thread. I don't have a problem with Indian neighbors, and I don't mind their smart kids driving up test scores, not getting into trouble, and bmw's everywhere.
Brambleton is nice also, definitely more socioeconomic mix and generally smaller homes than Loudoun Valley.
I live in Ashburn and there aren't BMW's everywhere.
I will say though, even though the Indians definitely are not friendly and do stick to themselves, I'd be pleanty happy if my kids went to Rosa Lee. As we all know, public schools teach to the middle and even the low income kids at Rosa Lee perform very well. The middle at Rosa Lee is like top performing at many other schools that don't have the Asian population.

White people don't like it when they are the minorities. It doesn't matter what race, culture, or ethnic group that populates a school or a community. White people only value diversity when there is a sprinkle of minorities. Some of them still want to feel superior in all facets of life. However, that is slowly changing as America becomes more diverse.
