We had 18 kids and 7 parents and "lost" 2 kids... of course you pay attention to your own child. It's not like you don't care about others but your child matters..Unfortunately public school system and ratio 20 kids to 2 adults it's just ridiculous (especially in lower grades where kids are just being kids)

Either I go or my child will not go (or with one other parent I know). I've seen a lot of parents not supervising or not having a clue what is going on. Some will not help with bathroom and other stuff. The last field trip, one of the dad's handed me two girls to take to the bathroom. I thought nothing of it as they were girls with a man till I realized he wouldn't even take his own child and he handed her over to me. I've seen kids wondering off without the parents, parents unable to handle the kids difficult temperament or tantrums, not following the rules (which I admit I don't such as feeding kids but usually the kids I get I know the parents and have asked can I feed them different if they ask and I have a yes), and on their phones (not just for pictures). My child needs a bit more support.
