It's irrelevant that they initiated talking to you. When the conversation progressed, you expressed an unwillingness to communicate on their schedule. They're still the ones with the job offer, so they get to dictate interview terms. Right or wrong, being unable to meet those terms is off-putting to those doing the hiring.

Do you do any hiring at all? It makes her nothing of the sort. If you ran recruiting operations at my firm with that attitude you'd be out on your ass so fast your head would spin.

The fact that you're on this board asking for opinions makes you low EQ. Yes the were recruiting you, these days you should feel good about that, and while you might think that gives you the power, the reality is that one day you might need that job. So you do one of two things, you either politely decline or you go into candidate mode. In candidate mode you are the one who is accomodating. Maybe just laugh it off, OP. You may be a little low in EQ, but the guy who accidentally sent the email is extremely low in IQ!

I can see why you want to respond, but it's probably only worthwhile if you really are interested in a post. If not, just leave it.
