Trashy?? Double ear piercings? Are you guys serious?

I’m 38, director-level, and have had two piercings forever. I usually wear nice studs in both. Or, small hoops in the first and studs or pearls in the 2nd.

I have had two holes in each ear since I was 12. My mom and I went together and got our second holes done, I remember it fondly. I'm 36 and I have never, ever heard of a second hole being "trashy" until reading this thread. Some of you are nuts.

If it makes you happy, do it!! At this point in your life, that’s all that matters. It’s been so popular over the years, that if I saw you with double piercing, I’d just think you’re more stylish than the average 39 year old. And I definitely would think you’re not patrician. So just depends on the look you’re going for at this point.

I did this at age 13. My mother warned me not to, but I did it anyway. In college I got a third hole in the left ear. Regrets all the way around.

I think you can get a little magnetic stud to wear as a second-hole earring, or a non-pierced small hoop. Try that instead.

Also 39 and considering this! OP I like how they look. I’m in a pretty conservative field which means I keep my hair a normal color so this seems like a fun way to do something different.

DCUM is full of prudes so don’t be surprised at some of the responses here. Get the second holes, nobody will notice and you’ll enjoy it. If you don’t, just stop wearing the second earrings.

My nose is pierced with a stud and I still have acquaintances come up to me having never noticed.

Go for it! I have double ear piercings and my cartilage done. Just think about the more diamonds you can show off

61 and had it done years ago. I'm not trashy at all. Upper middle class with a very classy mother.
