I feel like the people suggesting we turn it into a fun game involving a t-rex or whatever are missing the point. The kids need to understand that it's serious and they need to be quiet. Pretending it's a funny t-rex seems like it would just lead to a lot of giggling.

This is America, don't trample on my 2nd amendment rights. If it scares your kid, too bad, kid is a pansy and needs to toughen up. Love it or leave it baby!!!

DD is in the newest hi-tech elementary school in Arlington. What used to be a concrete block wall that separate the hall from the classroom is now wall-to-wall glass. There is no "hiding" from an intruder.
