If I didn't see the OT thread on Kane I would have no idea who that person is (and as it stands I only have a vague idea). I actually wouldn't associate Kane with a Kardashian, funny enough. Add to it that it's your maiden name I would absolutely go for it. I would also spell it Kane before Cain, and I was raised Catholic.

I know Adolfs plural yes. Dh is in the FS, and we lived in Austria. Definitely more common there but it still carries a negative association IMHO.

I am dumbfounded that anyone names her child Adolf. Even in Austria. Jesus.

Cain is a better way to spell it. Kane makes you sound like you want to be a Kardashian.

I graduated HS in 98 with a Kane classmate (who was very undercover cute BTW, I bet he turned into a smoking 30 something). So the spelling can't be that new right?

For some reason I thought Kane was the DJ's ast name.

I think it is, but nonetheless, he's referred to as "Kane" and nobody associates it with the Bible.

I'm not the PP teacher, but I'm a teacher. Oddly enough, most teachers will tell you that MULTIPLE students with the same names demonstrate similar characteristics. Not just one. Also, kids with overbearing moms end up having their own classroom disrupting traits (probably due to their moms' influence).

It makes a weird kind of sense if you also notice that, IN GENERAL, parents with the same certain preferences/backgrounds/behaviors tend to choose the same names for their children, and parents' influence and attitudes shape children's behavior. Destiny is going to grow up in a different kind of household, with different values, than Caroline. Their behavior will IN GENERAL reflect this, though of course there are exceptions.

No one cares about names that are bad to you on a personal level because you taught one kid whose mom annoyed you.

And, as a teacher, names of former difficult students: Destiny, Jayden/Kayden/Brayden, Christian, Julian, Dominic, Anthony, Michael, Emma

Ayatollah is a title, not a given name.
