Any would be great. But, for undergrads -- Princeton is the best. And, the neighborhood around Yale is dangerous. Harvard is freezing in winter.

As a parent of a current student at Yale, I have come to believe in the concept of "fit." Our DC loves Yale and is thriving, and I really doubt that DC would be having that same experience at H or P. That said, I have no doubt that for some other kids they would find Princeton equally inspiring. And I am willing to grant that a smaller number may be able to say that about Harvard, but honestly it is an undergraduate program that has become as famous in recent years for its drop outs (Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg) as its graduates, and I think that reflects a certain element of the student body's views of why they are there.

WHAT? The Great Gatsby is one of the greatest novels of all time. Its wasted on students. I think to truly appreciate it you have to reread it in middle age. Plus he wrote some terrific short stories. Babylon Revisited? A great short story.

But . . . I went to Princeton and I would never use the words "cosmopolitan," "glamorous" or "more artistic" to describe the place.

The Princeton eating clubs are probably less snooty than the final clubs at Harvard, and they don't have their weird, all-male initiation rituals.

Chances are extremely high that the OP's child will not get into any of the three, and this thread will prove to have been worthless. At least that's what I hope.

Princeton offers a superior undergraduate experience if you're interested in sitting in an eating club with cocktails discussing how superior you are to the rest of the plebians.

Williams is awesome and I would turn down H for Williams (unless I needed the OCI boost from attending H).

Both Williams and Princeton offer a superior undergraduate experience to Harvard. Harvard is best for post-grad.

Harvard- love Boston, and Harvard is still by most not all considered to be the almighty grail of colleges. Both my brothers attended and the jealousy rages on- I went to Williams with hopes of transferring but ended up being very happy so accepted my fate as an Eph
