Upsetting. Does child porn mean anything under 18, or does it always mean a child? I get so sickened and upset when I hear of things like this, that I've realized o try to tell myself that maybe it was a 17 yo who (sadly and unfortunately) chose to do porn, rather than a small child forced to. Somehow it helps me deal with these stories, but I don't even know if that's a possibility.


Do you have a teenager? Because 17 year olds are still very young, and very vulnerable. I seriously doubt there are 17 year olds choosing to do porn. The mechanisms by which pressure is put on young men and women to participate maybe different, but it's not less sad.

Weren't Josh and Anna pretty much introduced to each other through their parents? The families knew each other through their church. It's not like Anna and Josh met a dance or something.

I hope not either. That would be truly tragic for his kids and I would completely blame his parents.

I already do blame them. I think they need to release a statement that says they are praying for guidance for how to parent and seek therapy.

I feel bad for Josh. I mean if he was a kid who grew up in a normal home with normal parents and a normal family, I would be more apt to just blame him.

But Josh has to feel like he tried so hard to do all the right things his parents told him - going to church, courtship and no kissing or hand holding, get married young, have a bunch of kids - would lead to happiness and then he still didn't find the happiness or fulfilled like he was supposed to. How soul crushing that must be for a young adult who really believed that he was going to be guaranteed lifelong happiness and then to not have that happen but to have absolutely no one to talk to about it. I am not surprised by what happens.

What would truly be great is if he did go to a real rehab and therapy center, moved Anna and the kids and him far away from any of their family and just tried to start over as a normal, regular family.

Who cares? Cheating in a marriage is bad, especially if you're a spokespeson of a Family Values organization, but it really is only between him and his wife. It's not wicked or depraved.


No what he did was pretty wicked and depraved. Sorry, you don't marry a girl like Anna with such strong religious beliefs and then go out and help yourself to a porn star. He can't say that "it just happened" can he?

I don't think TLC knew at the very beginning when there were just special episodes. But by the time the regular show began, it was after the family had been scheduled to appear on an episode of the Oprah Winfrey show, which never aired because one of the Oprah producers found out some information about the molestation. I'd be shocked if that information didn't make it from Oprah's producers to TLC's producers in some form.

I've watched their wedding. Watched them have a baby. Watched them raise their kids. I don't think they've ever kept anything just between him and his wife. How is this different?

Just because he didn't show up to his fake Jesus-Camp-therapy doesn't mean he is missing. It just means the paparazzi haven't been able to find him. Not one of his family members seems to think he is "missing".
