(What type of radio show do they have? What type of music? Maybe it's not a genre I listen to. (?) Maybe I am not their demographic, I don't know! I am 42, white, live in NoVA with 2 kids. As I said, I also grew up here - NoVA.)
Top 40 music like this from Billboard (http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100), which multiple radio stations use the same format in this area. Your kids probably listen to some of that type of music.
LOL, my kids are 7 and 3, so they only listen to kiddie CDs. And if I have the radio on when they are in the car, it's classical or WTOP. If I am without them, I listen to 97.1. Now you know why I have no clue who Kane or Donnie Simpson are!

it amazes me that some people can totally keep their heads in the sand. even if you don't listen to adult contemporary/r&b and you're from this area you should've at least met a black person who knows who donnie simpson is. local radio dj in this area for a most of the 80s/90s. left 93.9 five years ago and is now back on the air at 102.3.
i don't know much about or like that kane show crap but i know who he is/what he's known for.
I probably know more about politics, international relations, religious history, books, or economics than you do. I think those things are more important for me to pay attention to than some local dj's. Glad you got YOUR priorities straight though.
Np here. You sound ridiculous saying you probably know more about politics...than the PP. While you might be impressed with yourself, no need to judge others. I'm a junkie when it comes to politics and international relations, and I listen to NPR all the time, but I also know who Kane and Donnie Simpson are. I don't think that makes me above or below anyone, it's just what I like. Also, why are you on an entertainment thread ? Shouldn't you be reading something of more substance?

They mostly respond to each other, chatting about their day and such, and bash Natasha.
It's a mess.
x2.
Worst thread on DCUM.
It's that long because he has a crazy fanbase that responds to each other incessantly and seem to be using that thread as a kind of message board to chat about their day and bash the guys wife. It's weird.
Almost as crazy as the "Odd Mom" thread OP.

So, unless you heard it live, you wouldn't get the full story. Some people were able to summarize it pretty well, then it turned into a he said/she said argument. People found Natasha's Instagram that had discussion as well because she posted pictures of her kids. Until the MD Court site closed it, people could find out a lot of details of what is in the divorce proceedings.
He has a big audience, that is why there is such an interest in this story. Remember when Jim Vance had drug issues in the late 70's and early 80's. That story went public as well.
i know of the guy (Kane) and saw his OCD story on channel 4 news a while back. no way am i'm wading thru 169 pages though. apparently his wife left him and took the kids and wiped out the bank account.
i listen to local radio and find it very important per the poster who knows way more than i do. i also watch local news which is probably as equally unrefined.
news 4 has some mental health segment they've been doing and jim vance shared his story on there recently too.
OK, now we are getting somewhere. Since no one will summarize I'll ask leading questions one by one.
- Why did she leave?

LOL!!!!!!
yes let's get back on topic here.
Here is what I have picked up:
- he is a local DJ
- he is (maybe?) getting divorced
- his ex is named Natasha
that wouldn't take 170 pages though ..
Lots and lots of debate on the party in the wrong.
I listened Kane when he first took over the previous morning show. Can't stand that type of morning show or most anyway. They are the reason I got xM.
