I would sit down with him when you're not in the car and talk it out - not accusingly or with any hostility. Just tell

He IS looking at it. I've been out of town for the last week so I haven't spoken to him about this yet. Last week it just kind of hit me because he was speeding on 465 and trying to look up some address on his GPS at the same time. When I yelled at him for this, he pulled onto the shoulder of the highway. Parking on the shoulder for me is something I would only do if I had an emergency. He's done this quite a few times and we didn't have an emergency any of the times. He also got a reckless driving speeding ticket for going 80 over last summer. I think they waved everything because he showed up to court but still.
He sounds pretty reckless and of course you can break up with him for any reason. My real question is why you aren't drive the two of you around?
OP here: I don't have a car. I use the metro to get to/from work. We live in Reston now.

Op here: I have tried asking him to let me look up the addresses on the gps . Unfortunately he usually grabs the phone and tries to do it himself. He's not controlling with other things.
I will admit I am strong willed. I can be demanding about healthy eating with my boyfriend. He actually thinks that this is great as he's lost weight since we started dating. Also because he's new to the US I feel I need to teach him things about US culture etc. This could come across as bossy.

It would be a deal-breaker for me, mostly because of the lack of respect he's showing for your requests and safety.

Why can't he just hand you the phone so you can look up the address? Seem like he has control issues. Does he like to have unreasonable power in other areas of his life?
Also, I want to add, why are you yelling at him? Can't you just say "Babe, hand me the phone and I'll look up the address for you". You both have issues and don't know how to be in an adult relationship.
