I mean don’t be so inflexible. If I can choose to change my identity to be different from my biological reality that actually has genetic chromosomal characteristics, it makes no sense to be so rigid about whether or not you can choose your attraction. And even if you really couldn’t, OP can still choose whether to act on it or not.
If I’m 16 and my 45 year old teacher is attracted to me, he can stop himself from acting on it, right?
And if I’m married and I’m attracted to my next door neighbor, so what? I still am not going to do anything about that.
