OP and her kids sound like classic retards, since apparently she thinks it's cool for them to throw forks. Only things DH did wrong were marrying and reproducing with the queen tard.

I haven't read all the comments but in this situation I would simply say we use forks for eating, and leave it at that. Then talk to DH at a later time about that incident. If DH is very clearly in the wrong I would say something in front of DD, as I would expect him to do the same to me. No one is without faults.

The child should be disciplined for throwing the fork, no doubt. However, your husband should not be throwing forks either, even if it is just to the ground. In my opinion, if you did not say something to your DH, you are telling your child that the fathers behavior is okay. Of course this is just my perspective. I was always told not to do things while the adults were doing them. So I figured if they can do it, so can I.

I agree with the original poster here. When I get all wizzy dizzy, my husband steps in and says, "Babe, you're going wacko. I'm still calm. Do you want me to take over until they make me crazy and I yell at them?" Crap like that makes me laugh and it relieves the tension. I do the same for him. It's fine.

This. Me and my DH take turns the same way, once I reach the point of no return, he takes over and I do the same for him.
