My DH had this attitude for many years. Made it impossible for us to go anywhere or do anything half the time since he worked so much. It was a problem. I left.

Whole family is now on mini-vacation a few hours away from home. Husband saw the light when realizing we'd otherwise spend the weekend trying to do household projects and ignoring kids. The idea that we'd spend more time really paying attention to the kids, instead of projects, is what swayed him. He will resume being stressed about work until Monday. (I myself will resume being stressed about work on Sunday as I have work to complete before Monday, but I brought that on myself and totally own it.)

Kids are having a blast. Husband seems to be enjoying himself.
