Do you think this ends up adding to the cost of special ed students? Seeing the multi year struggle and countless meeings and fights that a good friend experienced, I can't help but hink fcps wastes a ton of money in the fight against accomodations that do not cost too much to begin with.

I'd love to see a study on this. I'm one of those people that never gets through the year without at least 2 IEP meetings for each kid. Some years, we've had as many as 6 for 1 kid. In the end, we got what we were asking for but FCPS sure did drag its feet. What a waste of time, money and energy.
