Probably because there was no political will to do it. This may be one benefit of having an elected AG...

At our school, although I provided a utility bill and payments previously, it wasn't "allowed" this year.

The registrar asked if I had anything else, because the audit would be easier to review with a license and registration. My paycheck doesn't show my address, but that was another option.

The registrar did tell another parent to get a document from the Social Service (welfare) office because her lease wasn't sufficient.

Weren't the kids AT Wilson? Why would the coach there get them investigated? I mean, other than caring about residency fraud. Not for any sort of athletic advantage, I guess.

70 tips from charters to OSSE. The article said DCPS had its own investigation unit but I don't think it cited tips.

A few years ago, Wilson had to forfeit sports championships as athletes were residency cheaters.

I wonder what the investigations consist of. I have reported two cases from our school. People who definitely live in md, no question but have fraudulent docs that look ok. Nothing that school registrars can do but the "investigators" should be able to get to the truth.Do they just look at the same documents? Home visit? Nothing seemed to happen in the 2 cases i called about.

It wasn't a false address. It was a NE address that was real, that they owned. They did not occupy however so they still broke the law.

Just because they had a NE address does not mean they can't attend schools in upper NW. They could have been OOB students like most of them at Eaton at the time of this infraction.
