Hmm. My kid is at assign awesome new charter and I thought it was a pretty good indication of the success of the first year of the school that there is zero turned into the second year.

Then again, I really don't think any school is THE best because not every "great" school works for every family. CMI may be a great school for some, but not for others.

I've met admin and seems great. Does anyone know if something actually happened new with admin or is this a wild guess? Was it pay?
I find it troubling that current parents are not told about leavings - one parent (PP) is told it is only PreK but I know the upper grades parents and that is not true. It is systemic but if there is a rational explanation, fine. Are parents not informed there? I'd expect there would have been a school-wide announcement with almost 10 teachers/staff/etc leaving, moving, promoting, etc.
Any actual insight is helpful to me and other parents in this boat.

No. It's a public charter school that takes everyone who is lucky in the lottery. That fact alone makes it very different from private schools.
I've heard this statement made by multiple CMI parents. They *really* want it to be true![]()

Anonymous wrote:High turnover in charters is well known. The system was deliberately set up to create this dynamic in the name of competition and union busting. Don't go charter if you don't want high turnover.
