My wife is asian so she ages about 1/2 the rate of most DC women

DW had a receding hairline and a beer gut in her mid thirties. We made it work.

Of course we both notice, things are not as firm as they used to be. But we are both in good--or in DH's case better--shape than when we were younger or in the little kid years. We both look fit, healthy and attractive, for our age. I am younger and tend to look a little bit younger than my age which is hugely surprising since I am so fair and grew up in the california sun . My mother successully drilled the importance of sunscreen into me I guess. . Dh looks like a good, very fit version of his age.

what i'm curious about is this--when I look at a very attractive 28 year old man, I am not 'attracted'--he looks like a kid. But a hot 40 something ? I'm alert. But when DH looks at a hot 28 year old woman, I think his reaction is different .

Some of you husbands sound wonderful.

I SO hope that you voice your appreciation of/desire for your wives.
It might have a very powerful effect in their self esteem and your relationship .

Congrats to those with spouses who are aging well. Not the case here.

Wife got down to 175 after the pregnancy, which was a comfortable weight for her height/build, but she's tacked on at least 50 since (she stopped telling me a number, but she's now a size 18). Skin is going to hell too despite more products that I care to think about (mid-40s).

I gave up the hair fight and just trimmed it close, but I'm as good as bald. Got up to +30 pounds over my comfort zone, but have cut half of that off. I haven't been hit on in 15 years.

DH says I am “aging gracefully” which I suppose is a nice way of saying he notices.

He has more of a gut and some hyperpigmentation on his face that’s pretty aging (he’s not white).

^ I haven't hit menopause though and my older sister tells me that's when things go south quick. She just hit it at 57.

We both look like ass.

I am a woman and I assume my husband notices me aging. We are 41 and met at 24. I don't notice him aging day-by-day but I see the difference when I look back at pictures from our 20s or early 30s. It has only been somewhat recently that I have really noticed. He hasn't aged poorly or gained weight, it's mostly a hint of salt-and-pepper in his hair and a generally older looking face.

I think he's took annoyed by my weight gain to have noticed any signs of aging, if I'm being honest.
