B.S. Show me video of a blk fraternity singing chants about hanging whites? Move a white family into largo/mitchellville and a blk family into sections of VA or onley in Moco and lets see which community is more inclusive

No, racism doesn't run both ways.
That right there is a racist statement.

+10. The most racist people I've encountered in my life are African and black. Racism permeates all races.

Your argument is ridiculous and you are most certainly a white Republican -- thankfully, a dying breed.

No, no, no. Do some research and educate yourself.
Racism is a power dynamic. If you are in the group without the power, you can't, by definition, by racist about the group in power. You can be a bigot or prejudiced, but not racist.
Exactly what definition are you referring to?
I too am waiting this definition they are referencing. If I were to entertain the "power dynamic" argument which is nowhere in any credible definition I can find of racism - I'd refer you to the race of the President of the United States (who is the Commander in Chief of the United States Military) as well as the race of the woman in charge the entire United States Justice Department. What group is it that's in power? What group is in power in Baltimore?
All that aside, the power dynamic argument (not a definition) is weak and can certainly be seen as a racist argument in and of itself. It is an argument that was created to excuse bad behavior. Racism "by definition" can absolutely run many different ways.

This thread is about racism at Blair and the magnet program in particular. OP's point may be that a racially segregated magnet program that denies qualified minorities equal opportunities or treats people of color differently should be abolished.

Sorry, I am being very unclear in my posts today! What I meant was that my kid works on the newspaper and they all do courageous reporting -- looking at controversial topics and not shying away from them because they might embarrass MCPS, etc. My kid has not been the subject of discrimination.
I do think one of the reaons Blair is so great is how balanced it is in terms of diversity.
There's nothing special about Blair w/o the magnet program.

The magnet program grants special privileges to the privileged class and exists because the privileged parents want it to continue existing. The magnet must and will be shut down.
The magnet program is irrelevant to the topic of this thread. If you want to talk about abolishing the magnet programs at Blair, please start your own thread.
