Using summer "surplus" space is very different than a school which is offering a summer camp program as a continuing part of their school philosophy, teaching, etc.

Appletree definitely does this. Mundo Verde as well.

Otherwise commercial/private entities rent the space, a la Tony's Adventure Camp out of JO Wilson, Steve & Kate's Camp at Brent, the YMCA at Inspired Teaching.

Agreed, not sure why PP isn't getting it.

Schools that offer summer programs include:

- Stokes
- Yu Ying
- ITS
- Lee Montessori
- CMI
- Mundo Verde
- AppleTree

ITS doesn't have summer program

Yes it does. It's run by the Y.

Isn't that just the Anthony Bowen YMCA summer camp that happens to be at ITS? It's open to everyone.

Still a summer program at ITS.

No it is not. YMCA is renting facility from ITS and DPR (field use) to hold weekly summer camps open to anyone. Not the same at all.

Again: "And that's the same situation at other schools offering summer programs. Some of them are run by third parties and may or may not be open to non students. Some of them are run directly by the school and yet are still open to the public (e.g. Stokes). "

Not offered by ITS in comparison with similar programs run by charters like AppleTree or MV that do manage and endorse their programs.

Exactly. ITS does not offer summer camp.

The afterschool provider at ITS, the Anthony Bowen YMCA, is using the school's facilities for camp that you can pay to attend.

(ITS family not keen on attending the YMCA summer camp.)

MV outdoor space should be completed by the fall. Yes, MV offers 2 summer camps sessions. Each session is 2 weeks (4 weeks total).
