I absolutely cannot believe some people are suggesting she change the cat's name! No. Just no. She may never even have a baby! There certainly isn't one in the near future. And even if she did have a baby - THEY LIVE ON DIFFERENT CONTINENTS.

Op says that they are not close to crazy sil. Sil will probably never hear about the cat again. The posts encouraging op to toe the line are insane. Also the jab about op's dh is ridiculous. Sil is likely to be the problem.

Honestly, why not just change the cat's name? I would. The cat doesn't care at ALL.
