I'd also encourage you to reach out to the PTA president (I believe the PTA has its own website) to ask any additional questions you have.
Don't worry. A tour has been set up. I tend to avoid PTAs completely, though I completely understand their usefulness.

True, the word hate was not used...however the implication has been that it is a negative aspect of the school. My impression is that many of those posters have an issue with rich people...hate is probably too strong of a word, I agree.
It is not a negative aspect of the school, or a positive one. It is simply a fact.

Another well intentioned thread turned sour. DCUM is full of posters who hate rich people. If you don't like us, then don't click on threads about schools in wealthy neighborhoods.
OP, I posted earlier about how much I loved Wayside for both of my children. Yes, some may consider me "wealthy." We are not bad people. Good luck with your decision. You will probably be better off here than in the neighborhoods where these trolls live.

I am not looking for specific answers - just balanced views. A rant back and forth for several pages about the semiotics of the word "wealth" is a waste of time wherever it takes place.

1. I am wondering if there is the chance that any parents on here have children at Wayside Elementary school in Potomac.
2. I know it ranked 12th out of 800 + schools recently and that its not over crowded.
3. If anyone can give me specific feedback, from the POV of a parent with a child currently enrolled, I'd be really glad to hear it.
The answer to question #2 includes wealth. If you don't include wealth in the answer to question #2, the answer is incomplete and misleading.
