I cannot imagine dealing with these reusable options and living a normal life. It's hard enough now. Anyway, if it works for you that's great.

I haven't used a Diva cup yet but I read a review from someone who had a super heavy flow. She said it helped because she could just pour out the diva cup after4 hours rather than change tampons every hour or whatever.

OP, if you really want to go green, collect your blood out of the cups and fertilize your plants with it.

Once youve used one, rinse out the blood, wash, and airdry. Extremely environmentally friendly, and no subsidizing patriarchal "feminine hygiene" companies. Cheaper too.

I use a sea sponge to bathe my baby and toddler (it's SO soft!).

lol, now every time I bathe them, I look at the sponge and I get this mental image of tearing a piece off and trying it for my next cycle, haha!

I never heard of that either until I read posts here. It sounds like a nasty 3rd world country kind of thing. I imagine some smelly unclean women.

Ha! You're kidding right? Using a cup is much cleaner than pads or tampons.

Op, I use the softcup. I actually use the reusable kind so throw it away after using it the entire cycle. I only clean it at home. Can't imagine doing that in public, so gross. I only need to clean it every 12 hours. I just take a shower to clean it bc I feel the need to shower often on my period anyways.

More gross than sticking stuff inside you? No way.

I guess you aren't a big fan of sex then, huh?

Not on my period, no, actually.

The nasty thing is dumping your used sanitary products into landfills and the sewer system. Ever visited Blue Plains? Try it.

And anyway, how are reusable products disgusting? You wash them. You sound really uncomfortable with your own body. Loosen up.

Read this the other day and got my new diva cup and reusable pads today. NOT excited to try them out but open minded to it.

I've been intrigued by these things for a while, but haven't made an attempt yet. I have a tilted uterus, so not sure if that would cause any issue.

It should be illegal to clean them in a public restroom. Seriously! That is messed up.
