You say elitist, I say functioning. I am sorry but kids around here can do the math to realize that not everyone will become a NBA or NFL player let alone a rapper. Best to prepare for elite jobs by living among the elite and in elite schools. Sure not everyone makes it but it is a chance.

I wish that people wouldn't rely on Google Translate.
Dear lady, can you actually read Spanish?
Tonto el que lo lea.
Why yes, I can. Without Google Translate. And the sentences above sound to me like sentences a native Spanish speaker did not write.

/Whitman grad
I disagree, I think Wootton has always been considered better than WJ. WJ has improved significantly status-wise over the past 15 years. Oh yeah, and I went to WJ and graduated in '98.
Wootton is 47% white and <5% FARMS. Walter Johnson is 56% white and 8% FARMS. So Walter Johnson is whiter, but Wootton is wealthier (or more accurately, less poor). Which is more important for W status, white or wealthy?

Mostly laugh, I hope.

I'm a parent at one of the W/BCC schools. If I had to do it again, my kid would be somewhere else.
The W/BCC schools have a different environment than other schools. Not better, different. The pressure is incredible, and IMO unhealthy for kids. I really wish I'd made a different choice.
Anonymous wrote:As a graduate of a W school I can their lead over non W schools has been shrinking over the years and the shine is wearing off due tot he high stress put on the students. One of the W schools actually has part of the day for relaxation to reduce stress, seriously-wtf, this is supposed to be a great time in a kids life, why put so much pressure on them.
WJ, B-CC Einstein, Blair, Northwest, Sherwood used to be awful school and now they are right up with the W schools.
btw there is only one W school and that is and always has been Whitman but as I said the shine is not so bright anymore with the latest drug arrests and assaults a simple read of the weekly police report will show you that.
