The OP is pregnant and was secretly filmed while undressing and in her pregnant state. This is quite alarming and having to deal with law enforcement procedures could certainly cause her to have a stressful pregnancy. She hardly sounds stupid.

Glad you contacted your local county law enforcement. Even if they can't take a statement, they should be able to provide you with information on how to proceed, so don't let them leave without giving you guidance on who else you can contact in the state where this occurred. Like the PP said, move it up the chain of command until you get some action.

OP here- Called the local LE here for my County. Officer I spoke to was nice, but told me when the PD come out to my home this evening to take my statement, that the officers may not be willing to take my statement since it did not occur within the jurisdition.....

Am thinking of going back to the jurisidiction where the incident occurred and writing the cheif of police that I am ready to to go to the media that the PD he oversees refused to take a statement from a pregnant woman about a crime that occurred in their jurisdiction while she was visiting the area just because she does not live in the local area and cannot come in physically to make a sworn statement... maybe that will result in some action.

Oh, no way is that okay.

I was going to chime in to say that whatever you decide to do, please do file a police report -- if this kind of thing is happening to women, it's important that the police know about it so that they can continue to ensure resources are put toward prevention and eradication of this.

Are you in DC? They are apparently now very very good in handling sexual harassment cases, so if you're here, you might give them a call. I would also think about going back again to the original police district and trying to escalate this up the chain.

I don't know if that is true, he may get away without a legal punishment but you can certainly file a complaint, where you are and where he is, send a statement. As you know he is already affected by this since he got caught and is being divorced. You can send a statement with your friend during divorce proceedings and that will affect him, if just to the extend that he's outed again
