And why do all of them seem to think joining the National Guard on reserve means being actually deployed overseas and killed in Iraq? National Guard is called up for National and state emergencies by governors. Like the Civilian Air Patrol. It's rarely, if ever, called up by the President for deployment overseas. Do these people not even understand that?
May have already been said, but you are so very wrong. My National Guard son has been deployed THREE times in less than 7 years. Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know any Guard members who have not.
+1 it's not your father's National Guard anymore.

That was true years ago, but since the Iraq wars, it isn't as cut and dried and there is a very real threat of being deployed.
National guard is actually deployed overseas? I looked it up after (figuring it was just another way for them to eek out another story line for 45 min.). It's usually state emergency - national disaster or rioting. In the latter case we've seen the President do it (call up the National Guard) for rioting but I've never heard of them ever being sent overseas.
My husband is a Guardsman and definitely went to Afghanistan. 9 months.

Meri is seriously the worst. Anyone who would demand equal share of money when they only have one child and their sister wives have 6 each (and are on welfare) is an asshole. Don't get me started on her needing a 4500 square foot home to live alone in.
I think Meri's been miserable ever since Kody married the second wife. She's definitely getting the least out of the situation.
