I am 41 and just started noticing this now. If happily gain weight if I could but can't seem to.

Forget botox, fillers, lipo, lifts etc. There's a lot of heavy pancake on that face alone. It might look good in a picture but I would imagine it tends to be a bit ghostly in real life.

That said, the woman is in her 80's. She sure as heck doesn't look 80 but who knows...maybe 80 is the new 50 these days. Raquel Welch may not be super skinny but wow that woman still looks pretty darned good.


Raquel, is a heathy weight always within her normal weight. I think she's absolutly sexy not too thin and not fat, basically a perfect hourglass shape. I wonder if being mixed race has something to do with it?





Exactly. Rather look like Raquel Welch than Carmen del Orifice any day. She has some padding on her face that has kept her from aging. Smart.

What is this a feel good thread for all of you that are overweight? Thin is always better, healthier, more energy, etc. Studies have shown a lot of benefits from a low calorie diet as we age.

I would say late 20s. Unless you were blessed with a baby face, that's when aging starts to show for most of us. Faster when you dont have any fat on your face

Mid to late 20's is the time when I noticed that I looked more drawn, tired when I dieted my weight down. Before that I could never be too thin but at some point you start looking more gaunt when you diet.

I'm in my late 40's now. If I tried to get down to my college weight I would look sick.
