That hasn't been our experience at all. It's a small school where most people know each other. No school is perfect, but most people I know are quite happy with the services.

Several years ago. Wyngate. No. Issues starting week 1.
That said, our neighbors with kids there (ALL with NT children) love love the school.
NP here. Sometimes I read posts and wonder if I already replied. Same deal, issues from maybe week 2 at Wyngate and stuck it out for two years. Most of the neighbors (NT kids) love the school. Not a good experience.
Unfortunately it is not known for being good for kids with special needs even though they get quite a few.

Ashburton Mom. I have had positive experiences with the team there. School counselor is too notch.

I am that poster above. Funny, we did two (miserable) years as well. Hope that your child is doing well now!

I can say that the old Bannockburn principal was pretty darn clueless with regard to accommodating children with special needs. I don't know much about the new principal who started just this year. I know that there was a collective cheer when the old principal left.
I took the tour of Bannockburn when my child transitioned from PEP even though I knew it was likely he would not go there. At the end of the tour I pointed out to the old principal that he had described the GT programs in great detail but not mentioned the resource services at all. He just shrugged. Glad to see him go and we weren't even enrolled there.
