Have gotten one box and kept it all. Curious to see how it plays out over time. I am definitely a 'hate shopping, not super stylish' person though. Very happy that the first box pushed me out of my comfort zone and everything fit very well. I have a lot of more expensive clothing. I was really looking for some fun items to liven up my wardrobe and make me look more, well, styled. This fit the bill. And they must have read my notes/profile/looked at pinterest page due to excellent fit and type of items. Maybe it's just hit or miss on what stylist you get, or maybe my bar is low. Either way, I loved my first box, and I thought the price was affordable for what I got. Not crazy expensive (esp since I kept the whole box) and not crazy high quality either but not cheap crap by any means. My DH likes one of the new items I got (a vegan leather jacket with a draped neck -- so, basically plether, yes, but cute & fits me well) and he never comments on clothing I wear. So that's win enough for me!

I tried it twice. Both times I sent everything back. Overpriced cheap stuff that didn't fit properly and jewelry that was not nice.

I tried really hard to like them for a year. Pushed my price point way up, removed all patterns from my profile, outlined specific desires for the "stylists", but kept getting crap box after crap box. Early on I kept roughly 5 items out of 6 boxes, but then stopped requesting boxes because I was out $20 more often than not. Twice after that they offered to waive the styling fee, so why not?

I kept getting crappy prints (after requesting no prints), low quality items (after pushing the price point way up), and very little of interest. Out of the last box I only unfolded one or two things; a pair of pants that I would have considered keeping had the button not been dangling from a thread, and a scarf that shed all over everything it touched. Everything else looked cheap at a glance so I didn't bother.

It was disappointing, but on to better things!

I think it's fun. I usually keep one thing per box, and it has to be something I really like. I have sent everything back more than once because I'd rather lose $20 than be stuck with a $60 top I don't love. It's helped me to consider new styles and have fun with different looks. My stylist reads my notes, looks at my Pinterest and remembers what I've kept, so I've been satisfied.

My SIL, who really struggles to shop and is starting out in her career, tried it but cancelled. She said the quality was low, and they were often able to find the same items cheaper on Amazon etc.

My sister swears by her Nordstrom's personal shopper. You do have to go to the store, but maybe only once a season (or less depending on your needs and preference). My sister's always been well put together, but I have noticed a step up since she started going. You can provide a budget, and they usually will keep you up-to-date on sales etc.

RE eShakti, I've ordered maybe 10 things from them and have probably a 50% success rate. But I will say, I have a hard to fit figure for RTW, and the dresses I kept are some of my favorite ever. But several that got returned fit horribly, even with the custom sizing. I have't ordered in a while for that reason, but may try again soon.

I asked about SF a few weeks ago & got the feeling that it's not for me. I'm going to try Front Door Fashion or Trunk Club (used to be just men, but expanded to women when Nordstrom bought them). I'm trying to avoid shopping entirely, so going to Nordstrom & using their personal shopper isn't what I'm looking for...

Hm. I've had very good luck with Stitch Fix. No, it's not name brands but not everything I wear has to be a "brand." If you're only going to wear something designer, this is not for you.

I've had people complement me on some of the items I've received and they fit me well. Lastly, there have been some items that pushed me in a direction I normally would not go and it's been a good thing.

Overall, I've been happy with it.

I started to sign up for it but I have a hard to fit body (different sizes for top, middle, and bottom, short waisted, short legs, etc.) and saw no options for someone without a cookie-cutter figure, so I never placed an order.

I think I might have to do a personal shopper thing at Nordstrom.

For work I have now bought black and gray separates from Eileen Fisher. For casual I wear lucy workout pants and a lot of tops from jcrew. Can't you just order through nordstroms? The have shopping condultant ax and free returns.

I love it and have been happy. Maybe you need to be more specific as to your taste/needs?

I agree that it's mostly low quality. BUT I am petite and have a hard tine finding pants/skirts that fit. I have one stitch fix skirt, a summery maxi skirt, that I adore.
