But no one is worse than the current Dear Prudence. Good Lord her advice is terrible.

A quack would imply she is claiming medical/mental health training, like Dr Laura (a quack). Hax is a journalist.
Journalist? Like she keeps a journal?
I thought she was a divorced columnist who wrote "advice columns" on, you guessed it, relationships, for the Post's style section.
Journalist, indeed.

+1.

You don't actually need moral authority to give sound advice. Doctors smoke, lawyers lie, preachers cheat, and comedians are depressed.

I know he does the cartoons but seems odd that they wouldn't separate a little more. I seem to recall that her kids call him "uncle".

The PP is saying that even though Hax was separated form her first husband, had started the process of dissolving the marriage, had moved back to New England, and both parties had moved on, because the twins were conceived before the divorce was finalized she "cheated" on her first husband. Or, shorter version, the PP is twisting facts to align with her fundie view of the world, and is a nitwit.

How on earth do you know this?
Her kids with her now-second husband were born too early (but not premature) for them not to have been conceived before the end of her first marriage. It was public knowledge at the time.
