I am the high IQ mild ASD PP from the previous page. I am very physically fit, attractive, and interestingly enough, I have little difficulty engaging socially in romantic interactions. Men find me intriguing and alluring and I am always finding myself tangled up in affairs because I have a hard time deviating from the script and saying no. While I may not be throwing dinner parties every weekend, I can assure you there are plenty of opportunities for us to procreate -- sometimes with your spouses.

Knowing your family's issues did you hesitate procreating or didmyiunfeel you would be better able to deal with a child on the spectrum?

My kid's with Asperger's eye contact is normal. Poor eye contact is not necessary for an Asperger's diagnosis.

That said, poor social skills is not a step up in human evolution.

If you notice that the youth of today hardly communicate in person anymore. It's already happening. Direct social interactions are not the most efficient use of time and are antiquated. This is perfect for asbergers (or ASD without intellectual disability)

Be that many people prefer to communicate by texting, email, etc., you still need to learn good manners and know how to interact face to face and I say this as the parent, sister, wife, aunt and daughter of persons with Asperger's or autism spectrum disorder, type 1, which is what Asperger's is now in the DSM-5.

Are you over 30? if you open your eyes, EVERY millennial Aspergersor not communicates in the same way as someone with Aspergers . Like it or not, society is moving towards this type of communication form in relationships as well as work. I have employees that I haven't spoken to in person for weeks on end and it's easier than having to make awkward chit chat.

I deal w/ this new generation and it's only time until it becomes the norm as they get older. Deal with it or be pushed out of the work force.

Not really though, not more important. It's just important to be social and proficient in more than one medium now (in person and online). Smart women with options will not get so caught up in an online relationship that they overlook terribly awkward irl encounters and somehow stumble down the aisle.

Unless you are objectively beautiful, Aspies would still need to master the social skills of in-person, face-to-face seduction in order to have sex. I don't know which desperate people you seem to know, but virtually everyone I know, male or female, wouldn't sleep with someone they met online right away.

I've been married to one, and have watched a grown Aspie son try to navigate living with women and marrying women. While it's easier these days, as an Aspie, to find a partner, the everyday interactions are still not easy. Partners often have trouble understanding some very basic things about how Aspies operate differently, and end up feeling frustrated and disconnected from them. It can be challenging to maintain a relationship.

This is huge reach, OP.

Not all Aspie's have higher IQ, or higher problem solving skills, for one. Often it is just the opposite.
