OP here, going with my current guy, for my first prenatal. I think he will be happier to answer questions in person than via the phone and based on that I'll decide if I keep him or move on but I won't do more than one initial consultation. Here is to hoping it all works out.

Figuring out how to go with the flow, has been the biggest, but most rewarding challenge for me, in some ways.

Thank you for your kind words and support. I know I have an anxiety problem and I am looking for help with this. Insults are not helpful to anyone. They don't hurt my feelings because I honestly I don't care what an anonymous stranger who seeks to belittle and insult someone online thinks. I do however appreciate honest feedback. This advice is helpful, most posters have been realistic and helpful heresy thanks all who tried to help!

Ruling these out:
2. Doctor #2 - solo but may end up doing on call for delivery if after hours or weekend, has high C-section rate like 45% I would prefer V delivery, Delivers Fairfax Only delivers 8-4.00 M-F and then it's the on call unless i schedule a c-section per the nurse on the phone.. seems a bit early to talk about scheduling c-sections.
3. Group of 4 women docs, seems like a well liked but also busy practice tons of reviews mixed - Fairfax hospital close to my job, - Andersen group - don't like some of the reviews for some of the docs.
4. Group of 6 docs close to my job mixed reviews deliver Fairfax - some docs are better than others, kinda a gamble who you get. cwc
6. 3 docs well rated but further away VHC hospital -
Stick with your current doc. I second the recommendation to ask yor doc for a good book to read. The other OBs aren't going to be as patient as your current Ob. I think #2 might be Allen and Forrest and they could be good to but stick with the one you know
I delivered with the Andersen group and loved them but I am super low maintenance and I don't think they would be good for you. The prenatal appointments in first and second tri are super short. They spend more time with you closer to delivery. They are all excellent OBs but are not hand holders. Also get a doula. She will help you avoid C section so much.
And if this is a 4 page thread (not to mention the 17 or so threads you bumped in the last 2 weeks) I can't imagine what your first few weeks with a newborn are going to be. Good luck to you!!!

NP here ... Why is solo practice a bad thing?
