This does sound unrealistic. Assuming you take four weeks of vacation, That's about 10 billable hours a day 6 days a week. No way you are doing this, plus your non billable hours, plus commuting, plus spending a few hours a day with your kids as you say. I certainly have stretches like that as an attorney but could never sustain it all year. Like many others posting here I decided to stay on the mommy track working generally 20-30 hours a week from home. Sure I am underutilized, but I like my work, and I have had plenty of time for the kids. DH also travels, so this was the best arrangement for us. Curious to hear where the other lawyers who WAH are employed. I am in a big firm.
