I usually also have a couple of pounds of good chocolate pieces (a nice variety of butter creams, caramels, nut/crunch) whenever I have people over as my dessert alternative.

Gluten free pumpkin cheesecake (just came out of the oven and it smells amazing!)
Ginger, cardamom and pistachio gelato (from dolcezza) with homemade gluten-free biscotti

we don't like pies so we have a chocolate pumpkin cheesecake, cranberry apple crisp, and a french apple "pie" (graham crust)

My cousins' other grandmother used to make an amazing carrot cake that I still get a bit misty thinking about. But nobody at my table likes it but me.

I decided to be wild and add a BUTTERSCOTCH CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE to our table. It's baking right now with the regular pecan pie.
