When we got our subzero (1999) it was the only true counter depth fridge. That was worth it for us in a narrow kitchen. And we've had no problems with it in 15 years.

+1 (well, we did spend more to get the GE double oven range, but that was more a space issue than a "I need to spend a certain percentage of my home value on kitchen appliances).

It all depends on where the house is. If it is in Bethesda and you now have a Wolf stove no problem. If your in gorgeous SFH in petworth that has all the bright and shiny stuff, not yet. Some homes in western edge of Petworth are getting pretty pricey but wouldn't put a Wolf stove in just yet. Bloomingdale....you could get away with it if you are in one of the big pricy Victorians on 1st St or one of the few SFH there. If you a few blocks from the Capitol by all means that is more than reasonable. Few blocks East of Lincoln Park...not just yet.

Had a Bosch dishwasher, mid range model, and it had ridiculous amount of high dollar amount repair issues. Googled and found there was a bunch of others with the same issues. Their customer service is notoriously bad, would never buy again. Their quality has gone down hill as they have become more popular in the U.S.
