Only in the US is everyone this uptight about totally irrelevant stuff. What do you think parents will do with your address? Sell it to third parties? Send you advertising? Come rob your house? Geez...how can you expect people to get to now each other, connect, get closer, build relationships, if you aren't even comfortable sharing your freaking address?! Seriously...

During her PreK years, we received a list of parents with names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses but not home address info.
I personally don't' agree with the classroom mom providing that info because I would not be happy with someone wanting to set a okay date based on where I live and how much did I paid for my house. Most of the parents seem distant ( not willing to even greet each other).



I am a very private person so I never share anything either than email and phone. It is simply no one's business where I live. Those who need to know- aka kids' friends - can find out on an as needed basis

Me too. I grew up in a small apt and was friends with kids who had lots more money and space than me. Also, if you invited us over I'd be psyched because my toddler is a klutz on stairs and I love homes that have none.
