You need to clarify, do you want good California style sushi? Or do you want authentic Japanese sushi. My experience in LA tells me there is a difference.

Sushi Taro beats pretty much any place I have eaten at in CA.

Have you tried Stachowski's in Georgetown? So good.

There's an Uzbek restaurant in Gaithersburg. I'd never eaten Uzbek cuisine before, so not sure how authentic it is, but I enjoyed my meal there!

Really good authentic Thai - I have tried all the places in Wheaton and they disappoint. The only good ones are little Serow, which is expensive and impossible to get in, and Bangkok golden, which is way out in the burbs.

A decent Indonesian restaurant.

Bethesda could also use a good gastropub.

The chef at Bangkok Golden is opening a restaurant in Columbia Heights ... Though I think it's going to lean more toward Laotion as opposed to Thai.

I think a quality Chicago-style pizza place would be awesome as well.

And more great breakfast spots, preferably with a Southern biscuity twist!

How would you fill in the blank?

I wish we had a great organic no gmo and ethical restaurant in Dc or close.

I think restaurant Nora and Barton Seaver's restaurants fit the bill.

The problem is that Native American is hundreds of cultures.
