Salmon cakes - like crab cakes but made with canned salmon. The cakes themselves were fine, but I really loved eating the canned salmon bones
Cabbage and kielbasa in the crockpot, with caraway and hot mustard - YUM. I would still make this but I am the inly person in my house who would eat it, and a whole crockpot full is A LOT
Similarly, kale and smoked (pork?) neck in the crockpot. It's the reason I have always loved kale. Mom stopped making it about 10-15 years ago when she said smoked neck was getting harder to find in grocery stores.
Two dishes that she still makes for family holidays, and which I still love - sauerkraut and fresh kielbasa, and seven layer salad.
