He has always been staunchly anti meds. He refused them. Now he mentioned he is thinking about them, he didn't say he will take them for sure. He is however, willing to think/ talk about meds.

That is great news..... Again, I think Meds should be considered as last resort in my opinion. I think many behavioral strategies will work and not all need to go the route of meds. Keep the visits and one of the key too is realization and acceptance. The fact he is considering meds means he is starting to feel aware and the need to control the situation.
