Actually it is true that they don't have cell service. The Radio Astronomy Observatory down the road (we took a tour) regulates those things in that area.
Maybe something has changed...checked with my child again. Counselors have working phones..and even 1 kid though this is not allowed.

I have gone to this camp myself! It is a great experience except the first day you will be homesick.
