Agree w Marcel's. DH and I just went there for the exact same type of occasion (promotion/anniversary celebration). Very romantic, service & food & wine were impeccable.
Obviously not a foodie/trendy place if that's what you're looking for.

Maybe PP was thinking Freddy's in Bethesda, which did just close and was definitely not a special occasion restaurant.

Uhmmm...no? Any "foodie" who identifies themselves as such probably has no idea what they're talking about. I have yet to meet or hear from anyone who has had anything but a stellar experience at Komi.
Rogue, however, does get mixed reviews. I enjoyed it though.
