OP here --Thanks everyone for your input! To the PP here, I have loved Gavin & Stacey and Family Tree. If you have other suggestions like those I will take them. I'm not one to enjoy watching a lot of people hook up so I didn't try to watch the other two comedies you suggested.

I haven't gotten into Downton but I might as well now that I've got the time

Not sure if they're available, but I really enjoyed Felicity and Gilmore Girls.

I'm the PP who recommend Gavin & Stacy/Family Tree. Just FYI, I've never watched Felicity and never really got into Gilmore Girls.

Thanks PP. I'm OP. I grew up in the era of GG and Felicity and do not like either show.

I liked Parks and Rec for this too.

I always wanted to watch Veronica Mars but now I feel too old!

You are never to old for VM! Try Miss Fisher for age appropriate sleuthing.

My 39 year old DH is obsessed with Veronica Mars (or with Kristen Bell, more likely).

Yep, I think my DH might have had a thing for Kristen, too. It was a great role for her.

Doo not miss Rome. I love watching Ray Stevenson. Rome can be sexy and violent, a la Game of Thrones.

Downton...stream on Amazon. Lock the door...do not emerge until finished.

If you have a really specific (and rather sick) sense of humor, watch Archer from the very first season.

You're welcome.
