Yeah. I think people underestimate the level of confusion and paranoia that men have to deal with when it comes to being the one that has to initiate all the time. Either we are creepy predators, or we are gay. Just a stab in the dark here, but was there - by chance - a period shortly after kids where PP (OP?) didn't want DH to bother her. Because I went through this, and I've seen it alluded to in other discussions:

Couple has decent sex life. Couple has kids. Wife's libido tanks. Husband gets rejected quite a bit & stops trying very hard. Wife's libido returns & she wonders why he isn't initiating.
