Aren't they kind of bitter? I never like frozen fruit as much as I would hope.

I have started making my own pickled beets. Just the lazy man's refrigerator pickles but they are sooo good. I eat them on sandwiches and burgers.

Does pickling kill that iron-y, faintly bloody taste of beets?

You need to cook them before pickling. Cooking brings out the sweetness in beets, so yes!

Bagged cabbage coleslaw mix. I add it to stir frys with meat and a sauce or fry it in a pan with sliced kielbasa. It cooks a little but still has a great crunch to it.

TJ's baked snap peas. Bought them for my toddler but I can't stop stealing them!

The posts about prunes made me laugh so hard, btw. Hysterical.

Not really recent, but I didn't try an avacado until I was in my thirties, and then I realized I was an idiot for missing out on them for so many years!

So you can dip it in melted butter, of course.

I thought I hated coffee until I started making cold brewed with almond milk, iced.

TJs has a new Chicago style popcorn--mix of caramel corn and cheese popcorn. Addictive!
