Not me. I had two miscarriages in the past year, but I don't envy this girl. If it turns out I don't have children, then I still count myself luckier than her. I wouldn't want her life and all of the BS religious dogma and expectation and sexism and lack of choice and freedom that comes with it.

What I hate is how pervasive this notion is that a woman isn't complete until she has a child. Men don't seem to get the same sort of expectation and pressure dumped on them. They also don't get the same pity.

I wouldn't trade my life for hers, even if it means that my life will be childless and hers full of children.

I don't know, maybe she'll be relieved. Those girls have been caring for babies and children all their lives. In that family, infertility might very well be a "get out of jail free" card.

When you get pregnant, they count from the first day of your last period. So she could be more than 29 days pregnant if she conceived on her wedding night, because the first day of her last period would've been before she got married.

(But it still wouldn't be 10 weeks.)

I would think so too, but in one of the episodes the daughter in law says that they greatly enjoy intimacy because they waited for it for so long. Who knows, it could just be for the cameras, but that's what she said. They are after all living in this century, they are on television, etc. so some of that has to rub off on them. But then again, you never know what's real and what's not.
