I like Sahil that PP suggested. That's a good name, and if you spell it Saahil, people won't' have too much trouble with it.

Please not Rohan! It's a nice name but I think at least 50% of Indian boys (under 10 yrs old) among my friends and family are named this.

Also, Raj is not a name. It's a nickname for any number of names like Rajesh, Rajan, Rajneesh, etc etc.

Really? I was just trying to be helpful, I never said there was anything WRONG with those names, just that they are older names. You sound like an insufferable defensive bitch, so I guess we're even.

A lot of these are older names - like people who are 35-50 years old now.


Not the person who posted this, but I don't think this is true. I know kids under the age of 5 with most of these names.


Oddly enough, these came from a list of Indian baby names created in the UK--what is considered old-fashioned can vary. Also, I know a toddler named Kiran. And I don't care how old Idris Elba is, that name says "hot, hot, hot" to me.
