Honestly, you're being unrealistic. Coddling yourself and others into a protective environment doesn't foster coping skills. You may feel "protected" here, and then you'll flip the moment anyone IRL acts in a way you deem "unfair" or "insensitive."

That's segregation, and something you don't want for SN kids in school. It shouldn't be catered to elsewhere either.

I am a mom with a sn child and have been in the trenches fighting for my dc for a very long time. I'm not a bitch. Do you correct your dc in public when he does these things?

Not the OP, but I always correct my SN DS in public and make sure he apologizes. But I won't let anyone yell at him.

I've been pleased to notice lately that Jeff and Maria have been monitoring this forum and deleting the comments that bash the parents of SN kids who are genuinely struggling and seeking support. There have been a few threads lately where I've winced at the cruelty of a comment and within minutes it was gone. I really appreciate that!
