+1. All kinds of immigrants from impoverished places have come to the US and made a life for themselves, yet AAs as a community can't figure it out. These are immigrants who often don't speak English, don't come from educated families, come here with just a few suitcases -- and yes quite often are black so they face skin color discrimination also.
