Anonymous wrote:+1 I think this is more like it in the upper end. I see a lot of subtle treatments where the woman "just looks great!"

Botox 3x/year at $600 = $1,800/year
Bumble & Bumble 1-liter bottles of shampoo & conditioner 6x/year at $120 = $720/year
Various hairsprays and leave-in conditioners = probably $300/year
Pedicures 4x/year at $50 = $200/year
Brow wax 8x/year at $28 (including tip) = $224/year
I don't do manicures (don't have any nails because I'm a compulsive biter), and I don't wear much makeup. I only wear makeup when I go out on the occasional weekend, and I have most of what I need in terms of brushes and the like. I suppose I would reasonably spend $20/month on makeup so probably $240/year.
Adding all that up comes to $6,979/year or $582/month.
Clearly I spend a lot on my hair; it's very frizzy, curly & unmanageable without product and lots of care.
FTR, I'm 44. And I only wear jeans and old T-shirts (work out of the home).![]()

$70 per month for eyebrow wax (otherwise have unibrow)
$70 per bikini wax, once a month in summer, maybe every other month other months
Don't do mani, but every other month get pedi for $40
Makeup, I don't wear much but use Bobbi brown, Laura mercier, etc., I had to restock everything last year because my kids played in it and destroyed it all, cost me $700 for all makeup, brushes, etc. super bummer, I was so pissed
Shampoo, I like kerastase which now CVS sells I wait until I get emailed a 20% off purchase cvs coupon and buy, so it's like $100 4 times a year
I use creme la mer at night, so $300 every other month. I use oil of olay with SPF for daytime, so that's like $50 a year.
My hormones went nuts after having children, and now I need laser hair removal on my face 4 times a year, $300 a pop.
Have you thought of trying threading for your eyebrows? so much cheaper and much easier on the sking.
I have, but can't find any place convenient to where I live. It really sucks with my hormones, I've had everything checked, I just have really dark hair, and now it seems to be on my face, chin, brows, etc.

Not being snarky but curious - what does the $200 a month for hair consist of? Do you cut and color it every month? Is this for a weave or something similar?
